Institutional Research at Indiana University Kokomo

 The office of Institutional Research serves to gather, analyze, retrieve, and preserve institutional data for strategic planning and assessment.  The Director serves as the chair of IU Kokomo Institutional Research Council and is a member of the IU Institutional Research Council.  Major initiatives are the administration of the campus Survey Policy,  NSSE, EduVentures, VSA, support for the Student Success Committee, the Degrees of Excellence Initiative, the Foundations of Excellence Project, the Archive of Institutional Memory (AIM).  The office will be reviewing products and mechanisms to gather and preserve institutional data and research including the Faculty Annual Report (FAR) project and IUScholarWorks.

Institutional Research Council Goals:

  • Develop a centralized review of and access point for data activities on campus
  • Support the institutional research needs of the Student Success Committee
  • Develop means to ensure that appropriations are returning on investment to improve graduation rates
  • Administer the campus Survey Policy
