Tuition and Fees

Banded Tuition

Undergraduate students enrolled at all Indiana University campuses will pay one rate (banded tuition) for their basic tuition when taking between 12 credits and 18 credits.

  • Students dropping classes prior to the end of the first week of classes will receive 100% credit for dropped classes.
  • After the first week of classes, only section changes are processed as even exchanges if processed by the Office of the Registrar.
  • After the first week of classes, dropped classes will be refunded according to the refund schedule.

A Late Schedule Change Fee will be assessed beginning the second week of classes for each class added.

If you are a resident of Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio or Wisconsin, you're eligible for the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP).  Please visit our Financial Aid page for more scholarship opportunities.

All fees are subject to change without notice by action of the Indiana University Board of Trustees, the campus Chancellor or the Director of Finance and Administration. Most fees are assessed according to the number of credit hours taken by our students. Detailed information on the university's three newest initiatives related to affordability and financial literacy as well as links to a host of other valuable resources for students and their families can found at
