Computer Science
Indiana University Kokomo will offer a computer science degree beginning this fall semester – allowing students access to a high-paying, fast-growing career field in the state and across the country.
Carolina Anaya Pico
A trip to a beach on the other side of the world helped Carolina Anaya Pico see the impact one person can make on global issues. While visiting England with the Indiana University Kokomo Innovation Symposium, Karla Stouse, who leads the program, showed her how the rise in tourism means the once-pristine sands now harbors trash left behind by those who visit.
Practice Interviews
Participating in practice interviews opened new career possibilities for John Yount. As a communications major, it was obvious to him that he could seek out jobs in newspaper or radio, but during one of his interviews, Nick Anderson, senior team manager for Charles A. Schwab & Co. Inc., Indianapolis, told him his company hires people to create social media campaigns.
Shawn Gabriel
A community nursing class at Indiana University Kokomo was a turning point for Shawn Gabriel, giving him confidence to apply – and get accepted – to medical school.
